Sylvander are touring throughout 2019!!! Be sure not to miss out on THE bragging rights that you got them first!
Scotland’s music scene is widely regarded as one of the most prolific and exciting world wide. From smash hit bands, innovative genres, legendary music festivals and pure dead brilliant crowds, Scottish music rarely disappoints. The newly formed SYLVANDER are the most highly anticipated act to hit that particular scene in recent memory.
SYLVANDER consist of 3 former members of Little Eye whose highlights included Isle of Wight Festival Main Stage, NO.5 on the Italian MTV rock chart and shared stages with BLONDIE, JAMES, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, and THE WATERBOYS amongst others. The new group are pushing on from those past successes with a fresh exuberant 3 piece rock sound featuring; Euan Malloch on Vocals and guitar, Marcus Cordock on Bass and shrill backing vocals and Jay Hepburn on Drums.
SYLVANDERS sound has been described as a fresh take on classic rock drawing from its very essence and putting on a modern spin. “We have influences from the 60’s and 70’s with bands like The Beatles and Zeppelin, and more modern bands like Queens of the Stoneage and Ghost. Imagine Hendrix and the Foo Fighters hanging out making music together, it’s kinda like that” - Euan Malloch.
“It’s salt of the earth stuff, real honest rock n roll from guys who just fucking love music”. - Marcus Cordock.
“It’s not that we don’t like whats currently on the radio, we just want to give people an alternative choice”. - Jay Hepburn
With some exciting gigs lined up for 2019, SYLVANDER find themselves going all over Europe and the UK club and festival scene. It’s apparent that the band are positioning themselves to have a major impact on music scene world wide. They are currently working on a debut album with legendary drummer and producer Geoff Dugmore (Rod Stewart, Stevie Knicks, Johnny Halliday, Killing Joke and Eikichi Yazawa) which will be out in the Autumn of 2019.
“We love making music together, I can’t imagine not being in a band. Music has given me so much in life and all I want to do is spend the rest of my time giving back as much as possible.” - Marcus Cordock
